TotTude on TV

TotTude Tat Tees made their TV debut in France a few days ago!
I was excited but didn't really know what to expect when a producer from the French TV show Les Maternelles contacted me a while ago and asked if I could send her a couple of my shirts because they were interested in featuring them on the show. It seemed legit, and I figured I didn't have much to lose, so I mailed her two different tattoo tees. She let me know when she received them and told me the segment would be airing March 13th. I thought, "Cool!", and then forgot about it. Until the morning of March 13th when I woke up to a bunch of notifications on my Etsy phone app with orders. It's not unusual for me to get orders overnight, because I do get a decent amount of international sales. But this was more than usual. I quickly glanced at all the orders and saw they were all from customers in France. Aha! I remembered that it was the day the TV segment aired! I obviously don't get French TV channels, so I had to wait until they posted a video of the segment on their YouTube channel before I could watch it. It was so exciting to see one of my shirts being discussed on a television show! I really wish I could understand even a smidgen of what they are saying, but sadly I cannot. I showed it to my 12 year old who is currently in an 8th grade foreign language class where she is learning French- but she got nothing out of it either. Maybe I'll have to send her to class with a phone one day so she can ask her teacher what they are saying. It must have been good things though, because I did get plenty of orders from France for a couple days after it aired. Oh, and I almost forgot one of my favorite parts! They showed a picture of my favorite little model wearing one of my shirts- my youngest daughter. Although it was from a couple years ago when I hid her hair under a hat and most people assume she is a boy. But nope, that's my girl!
Anyway, here is the segment. Skip ahead to about 6:10 to see the cute little TotTude tee! That's the one thing that's kind of a bummer, I feel like they spent so much time talking about the other shirts in the segment that they kind of had to squeeze mine in at the very end and didn't really get to discuss it much. But oh well. Being last at least makes it easy to remember!
